Jewelry-Making for Teens
Ages 12-15
Love jewelry? Then this is the camp for you! Learn the foundations of jewelry fabrication methods such as sawing, forming, filing, and finishing, and joining methods including soldering, a popular type of cold connection, and creating a rivet. Students will use Jesmonite, polymer clay, colouration of surface, etching and stamping. The instructor will guide individual designs with projects based on expressive intentions and personal meaning. Create your own pendants, earrings, a bangle, and a cuff bracelet, using copper and brass provided, as well as a pair of Precious Metal Clay (PMC) silver earrings!
All precious metals and jewelry-making supplies provided.
