Introduction to Sustainable Fashion Design
Ages 10-13
Students will develop their design skills, explore various techniques in hand and machine sewing, learn how to upcycle and mend garments, and create their own sustainable fashion collections. Students will also have the opportunity to draw from a live model to improve their fashion sketching. Throughout the course, students will learn about the importance of environmentally friendly clothing practices, and ways they can express their creative styles sustainably!
Students to provide: ONE thrifted T-shirt and ONE pair of thrifted jeans to upcycle.
All other materials included (includes 1 session with a draped model)
