Description

Here's the chance to explore the play of light and shadow in depth through various exciting themes! While the theme of Chiaroscuro – the contrast between ‘light & dark’ remains the same throughout the course; we will also cover a range of subjects in different approaches to watercolour painting. Some tools like inks, pens, markers, pastels, gouache etc. will be used to create the character, and mood of the place, while adding interesting textural effects. Both traditional and experimental styles of watercolour handling will be explored.
The artworks will be done mostly from photographs provided by email one day prior to the online class as well as a drawing and some information on techniques to be used. Step by step demonstration and individual guidance will be provided. Video recordings will be sent after each class. *Previous drawing and watercolour painting experience is helpful.
